Sometimes, no matter the content, the sweetest sounds must first be filtered through the darkest corners of the human mind. Culling samples from a society's lost bits of cultural ephemera, BATHAUS manages to break through those secluded borders, delivering, on pinpoints, a dreamy urban delight.

Voices call your name, bleeding their needs from the shadows of modern day notes and surreal interviews with lost minds and forgotten thoughts alike. As if submerged in an endless gulf of faltering television screens, the fears and hopes of a million melting minds are packed heavily into the reverberated rhythms and echoed beats of this barren synth-sparse dream.

Based on the concept of the cutup, ARCANE|||CUT manages to slice and dice through any preconceived notions that have been derived from the recent blend of broody gothic synthesisers, dark electronic manipulations, vocal delays, and hip hop culture to infiltrate our collective musical lives. With a toe in these murky waters, BATHAUS mixes pounding beats situated in the heart of darkness with washes and waves of ritualistic noise and ambient realisation.

Whether you need to exercise or exorcise your demons, there's no doubt that they'll have a grand old time with this soundtrack in their aural fields.
